TB-500 is the synthetic active fragment of thymosin beta-4, the actin-sequestering peptide that governs how cells build and dismantle their internal scaffolding during migration. Because it works on the cytoskeleton rather than a surface receptor, its research profile is different from most peptides in this catalogue, and its effects appear on the timescale of cell movement rather than signalling.
The fragment is used instead of full-length thymosin beta-4 because it retains the actin-binding domain at a fraction of the synthesis cost. Supplied lyophilised per vial.
Store sealed at -20 C, reconstitute with bacteriostatic water, keep refrigerated and shielded from light, and avoid freeze-thaw cycling. Usually studied together with BPC-157, available as a combined vial at BPC-157 + TB-500.
