IGF-1 LR3 is a modified insulin-like growth factor 1: a 13-residue N-terminal extension plus a single substitution at position 3. Both changes serve the same purpose, which is to reduce binding to IGF binding proteins.
Native IGF-1 is almost entirely bound in circulation, so the modified form remains free far longer and its activity can be observed without the confounding effect of binding protein sequestration. That is why the LR3 variant, rather than native IGF-1, is the standard research form.
Supplied lyophilised per vial. Store sealed at -20 C, reconstitute gently with bacteriostatic water, refrigerate the working solution and protect it from light.
Related growth-axis compounds: HGH, CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin. Purity data on our lab reports page.
