NAD+ is nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, a coenzyme present in every living cell and central to the redox reactions that move electrons through metabolism. It is not a peptide, and it behaves differently from the rest of this catalogue: it is consumed as a substrate by sirtuins and PARP enzymes rather than binding a receptor, which is why cellular concentrations fall under conditions of DNA-repair demand.
That consumption relationship is the basis of most current research interest. Supplied lyophilised per vial.
