Recovery & Repair

LL-37 is the only human cathelicidin, a 37-residue peptide released from its precursor protein and studied at the point where innate immunity and antimicrobial activity overlap. It is unusual in this catalogue because its research profile is not a single receptor interaction: it disrupts bacterial membranes directly while also acting as a signalling molecule that influences host cell behaviour.
Those dual roles are what make it difficult to study and interesting to work with. Supplied lyophilised per vial.
It is more sensitive to handling than most peptides here, so store sealed at -20 C, reconstitute with bacteriostatic water gently without vortexing, and keep the working solution cold and dark. Related immune-research peptides in stock: KPV, thymosin alpha-1.
