Thymosin alpha-1 is a 28-amino-acid peptide originally isolated from thymic tissue, and it should not be confused with TB-500, which is a fragment of thymosin beta-4 and acts on an entirely different system. Alpha-1 is studied for immune modulation, particularly its influence on T-cell maturation and dendritic cell signalling, rather than for anything cytoskeletal.
The naming overlap between the thymosins causes more confusion in the literature than any other pair in this catalogue. Supplied lyophilised per vial.
Store sealed at -20 C, reconstitute with bacteriostatic water, keep the reconstituted solution refrigerated and away from light. Related immune-research peptides in stock: LL-37, KPV, ARA-290.
See our lab reports. For laboratory research use only.
Currently unavailableSold strictly for in-vitro laboratory and research use only. Not for human or veterinary consumption.
