Melanotan II is a cyclic lactam analogue of alpha-MSH and a non-selective melanocortin receptor agonist, which is the key to reading the literature on it: because it binds across MC1R through MC5R rather than one subtype, research observations span pigmentation, appetite signalling and sexual-function pathways at once. That lack of selectivity is why PT-141, a metabolite with a narrower receptor profile, was developed and is studied separately.

The cyclic structure gives it considerably more metabolic stability than native alpha-MSH. Supplied lyophilised per vial.

Store sealed at -20 C, reconstitute with bacteriostatic water, keep the working solution refrigerated and protected from light. Also stocked as Melanotan I, which is MC1R-selective, and in the Glow & Tan Complete Kit.
