CagriSema is the fixed combination of cagrilintide and semaglutide in a single vial, pairing an amylin analogue with a GLP-1 receptor agonist. The research rationale is that the two act through genuinely separate pathways, so the combination is studied for pathway interaction rather than as a simple dose increase of either component.

Working from a pre-combined vial removes the mixing variability that makes two-vial protocols hard to reproduce, which is the main practical reason researchers choose it. Supplied lyophilised per vial.

Store sealed at -20 C, reconstitute with bacteriostatic water added down the vial wall, and hold the reconstituted solution at 2-8 C protected from light. Frequently compared against tirzepatide and retatrutide as alternative multi-pathway approaches.
