Oxytocin

Oxytocin is a nonapeptide hormone with a disulfide bridge forming a six-residue ring, and that ring structure is essential to activity: reduce the bridge and the molecule loses receptor binding. It differs from vasopressin at only two positions, which is why cross-reactivity at vasopressin receptors is a genuine consideration in study design rather than a theoretical one.
