Adipotide is a peptidomimetic built from two joined parts: a targeting sequence that binds prohibitin on the vasculature supplying adipose tissue, and a pro-apoptotic sequence that only becomes active once internalised. That two-part design is what distinguishes it from metabolic compounds that act through receptor signalling, because the research mechanism is vascular targeting rather than a metabolic pathway.
It is studied for that delivery concept as much as for the outcome. Supplied lyophilised per vial.
Store sealed at -20 C, reconstitute with bacteriostatic water, keep the reconstituted solution refrigerated and shielded from light. Related compounds studied in adipose research include AOD-9604 and 5-Amino-1MQ.
See our lab reports for purity data. For laboratory research use only.
Currently unavailableSold strictly for in-vitro laboratory and research use only. Not for human or veterinary consumption.
