HCG

HCG is human chorionic gonadotropin, a glycoprotein hormone that acts on the LH receptor. Its research relevance in an endocrine context comes from that receptor overlap: it produces LH-like signalling with a considerably longer half-life than LH itself, largely because of its glycosylation.

Being a glycoprotein rather than a straight peptide chain, it is structurally more complex and more fragile than most compounds in this catalogue. Supplied lyophilised per vial.
